Lynne paints from the heart all that delights her spirit, things that disturb her, what motivates her, or those things her inner eye unveils to her. The myriad of colour and the relationships between objects in a still life which, by their association, create feelings of comfort, angst, nostalgia or simple pleasure by their composition, is only one avenue of her endless exploration. The infinite depth and passion of the human face in it's perpetual variety of expression and emotion, is yet another. Nature provides the artist with a host of subjects, and Lynne uses her own interpretation and sense of colour to bring forth a special experience of the subject.

"I do not restrict myself to one medium or subject, but rather prefer to stretch and experiment , investigating the possibilities and potential each can provide."

Perhaps a subject cries out for watercolour; another requires pastel to best reflect the meaning and passion; acrylics create another graphic interpretation, or realism, as do oils. Lynne feels strongly that a restriction of technique, media or subject can be a kind of creative bondage. True creativity is forever changing, evolving and growing in the artist, as life experience itself is in constant flux.
